Hello guys.
So today I'm doing a makeup look using the sleek palette for the eyes and other drugstore brands of makeup all links are down at the end of this blog post if you want to go onto the website.
Guys I'm not brilliant at makeup at all so I don't know if this the proper way to do things so leave me a comment of what you thought of it.
First we will start with the base of the makeup.
First I'm starting with a moisturiser from Clean & Clear this is such a good brand of skin care its cheap soled in the UK,U.S.A and Ireland.It really done clean your skin and clear it!I feel like this moisturiser acts as a primer because it makes my foundation/concealer go on so smoothly and nice the way a primer would but if your not into that then I think the Maybelline Baby Skin primer would be great I've used it twice under foundation and I thought it did a really good job its cheap,I love the packaging too and stays on all day. I've actually wore it once without any makeup which is a bit strange but I quite enjoyed it because it felt so light on the skin and was perfect to wear to the beach which is what I did that day anyway,it just felt as though it blurred out loads of pores without me wearing makeup to the beach .maybelline primer
Next I'm using the brand Chapstick lip balm in the flavour banana & strawberry smoothie I adore this lip balm because its so moisturising , The smells are on point no joke they smell like there name they smell so good you just want to eat it.... which I don't recommend it doesn't taste that nice in a whole chunk maybe just a little lip from your lips.I used this second to give my lips so moisture before any lipgloss or lipstick.
So then I used the Miss Sporty Insta Glow Foundation in the shade 002 light which I got from Boots.Now I have a few things to say about this product, firstly theres only 2 shades which is not great theres no pale shades for my fellow Irish people and no dark skinned shade either which sucks thankfully they had my shade since I'm a bit tanned, second like most people they squeezes the product on my hand and then get my brush a place it on my skin and then do section by section but when I do that it just gets stuck if I leave it for too long. Lastly my friend got one too the same shade as me and she is a little bit tanned and she looks ORANGE !!! Either way I do recommend it because it cheap its alright coverage.I used the Real Techniques foundation brush which I dint like so I went back to my SOECO brush which is my baby. TIP: don't forget to do a bit on my neck so you don't have a weird line on your jaw.
Then I used the Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer in the shade 02 beige I love this concealer I find it a bit dark for me so maybe I should of gone for the lighter colour + its a bit hard to blend with both the brushes I tried with it which or the Real Techniques detailer brush which is amazing for concealer and I haven't yet tried it with lip products but I think it going to be great and also the Bare Escentuals Max Coverage Concealer which I think is the best thing ever since for some reason its squeezes it into the skin lovely.Oh yes back to the concealer for a moment it smells amazing like some people say watermelon and others say cumber but I personally think it smells of cumber.Many YouTubers have talked about this concealer the likes of Zoella and Emily Canham.So just put it all over your blemishes and spots or redness.
Then I used the Rimmel's Stay Matte pressed powder in the shade 001 Transparent I find this a great powder for just using by its self but yet i think its good for on top of product too I feel like it can get a bit cakie if you use to much but other wise its a great cheap drugstore powder that everyone seems to rave about and yes this is my favourite powder SO FARE!The brush Im using is the Real Tecchniques Buffing Brush which is the softtest thing ever I highly , highly recommend this its amazing for power and the quality is unbelievable.So i just put this all round my face and neck and places where it tends to become sweaty.
I used the SOECO Blush Brush which is so soft and makes my blush look so gorgeous and lets just talk about the Sleek Blush in Rose Gold 926 its the prettiness blush ever some people don't like this but I think its great.It so pigmented just like all their products and they are so cheap it makes you do a double take.So I just alplied it on the apples of your cheeks.
So thats the base done now lets go onto the eyes and lots of partly embarrassing photos of me.
This is the Sleek palette in Oh So Special 658.
step 1.Use the shade Bow (matte white) in the very corner of your eyes and just under your eyebrow to highlight your brow bone , using a brush shaded like the one below.
Step 2.Now applie the shade Gateau its a kind of glitterly light purple colour all over your lid as a base.
Sorry that photo is really bad you cant even see the colour but in really life you can see it better.
Step 3.Next use this dark purple red-ish shimmery colour is perfect for the crease its called celebrate its is so pigment it so be light handed with it.
Step 4. Using the same colour just drag the colour under the eye with a soft pointy brush (sorry didn't take a photo of it)
Step 5. Use a white eye pencil on the waterline ,I used the Rimmel London Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Penceil in the shade 071 Pure White.
Step 6. Time to curl those lashes!! I'm just used ones from Primark or Pennys.
Step 7. Mascara, the thing that makes an eye look. I used NO.7 which is funny because this is step 7! But this is such a good mascara.
Step 8/9. Help those eyebrows!!! i used a spoolie and the seventeen clear mascara and eyebrow gel i do this my pushing the hair up then smooth it towards my ear.
Step 10.Now for the lips.I used the Seventeen makeups mini lipgloss sadly it doesn't say its shade.
